Suzette Laboy is a producer and writer with extensive experience in television, digital and emerging platforms, as well as with documentary storytelling.
She specializes in research, reporting, field production, scripting and post production on long-format projects. Suzette also writes about climate and Latino issues, travel trends and more. Her work has appeared on The Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, Cuba Trade Magazine, El Pais, Full Measure, Latina Magazine, Univision, Washington Post and others.
Suzette spent a decade with The Associated Press as a video and print reporter, before joining Fusion Network as a producer and reporter. Currently she is a producer on Univision’s Real America with Jorge Ramos, a mobile-friendly show that first airs on Facebook Watch.
Her work has been recognized for several awards over the years. As a bilingual journalist, she was a founding member of the South Florida chapter of The National Association of Hispanic Journalists and served as Region 4 Director for the national organization.
Suzette was born in Puerto Rico and is based in Miami, Fla.
